Star actresses, Ini Edo and Tonto Dikeh are among eight young actors, who have made the long list for The Future Awards in the Actor of the Year category. Others who made the long list are O.C Ukeje, Ivie Okujaye, Gideon Okeke, Ramman Hassan, Kabirat Mojisola Khafidipe, and Lala Akindoju.
The Future Awards is one of the most prestigious youth awards in Nigeria, and it is organised by The Future Project.The long list will be further reduced to a short list of five actors, which will be determined by The Board of Judges, as well as online voting. Members of the public can vote for any actor of their choice at thefuturenigeria.com/vote/actor.
The short list will be reduced to a list of three finalists by the Independent Audit Committee. It is from this list of three finalists, that the winner of the award will be selected. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony, scheduled to take place on August 26.
